I got a couple of colleagues that follows me on Instagram and they think I have tons of watches and I keep explaining that I only have three and that I rarely have had more than five in total because I sell as much as I buy.
Oh people don't ask me no more LOL. How it started "oh Bulova still around?" Me: that watch there? that one is special... So you know Omega was the first watch that landed in the moon right ? oh you didn't? let me tell you more.... Once I get the to Lunar Pilot story they are on their second beer and annoyed they asked.🤣
I'm reminded of that old Lending Tree commercial with the guy showing off his big house, nice car, country club membership, etc. How did he do it , he says.........I'm in debt up to my eyeballs! Lol
No kids, no loans or debt, and a separate bank account from my wife. People do assume I have $, but that’s a larger societal issue of people having wild ideas about what creatives actually make.
I took a second out on my house to buy my watch collection. It's free money and really not financing that way right. Everyone thinks I'm irresponsible for it. I don't understand why. 🫣 😂
Even if you have a collection of 20 Casios...you're technically being irresponsible.
No one needs 20 Casios.
As a lifelong collector of many different things, I realize it's my pathology and totally irresponsible...as those funds could be more productively put to use.
But at least I'm not selling political influence, which would really be...

Remember to always borrow money to buy a watch. Then post that watch as collateral to get another loan to buy another watch. Rinse and repeat.
Funny enough maybe is L.A or people around me. If I do not have a Rolex in my collection then it counts as as good as a Fossil/Invicta collection. 😂

My watch collection is how I prove to the world that I have more money than sense. 😆

I just tell them, "It's not that I'm rich, I just don't have a wife or kids." Leaves them thinking and evaluating their own life choices... lol😂
Fortunately for me no one cares enough to even bother to ask 😂😂
This hits me in the heart…🤣🤣🤣
