Impulse buy
There isn’t much story behind this one. I’ve been looking at different model G-Shocks recently and found this GBX-100 model with the MIP (memory in pixel) display and immediately wanted it.
My other G-Shock is a Casioak with black dial which I find to be a little hard to read (even the analog is tough because the hour markers match the dial). So I wanted one that was easy to read and it’s hard to beat the MIP display for that.
I’ve only had it on for about an hour and so far it is really comfortable. It is a somewhat smart watch in that you can connect it to your phone with Bluetooth to change setting and get notifications, but I will probably leave that turned off to make the battery last longer.
Now that I have this one, I may try my hand at modifying the Casioak to replace the hour markers.
Just another watch guy enjoying the learning and accumulating of watches and horological trivia.

The GBD-200 looks nice as well. If the grey colorway were white I might have gotten that one instead. The other colors do nothing for me.
