I’m a consultant and met today with a large metropolitan zoo. I thought it fitting to strap on the Citizen Eco-Drive Chandler field watch. Good choice?
Absolutely! The only field watches I have are a Zelos and a Vostok, but I strongly considered getting this one for actual field use. The only reason I didn't was because I prefer dive watches and I have plenty of those.
Super choice! I have an older one of these. Not taking a charge anymore. Any suggestions from the eco-cognoscenti out there?
I saw someone mention that a crown-out charge, as opposed to a crown-in charge can help rescue some "dead" eco drive models. Makes sense as the seconds hand isn't ticking away as it tried to fill the capacitor. Maybe try that in some direct sunlight? I know they say it will take a charge from any light source, but on the most recent citizen I bought, the lamps just didn't have enough juice, but half a day on a windowsill worked perfectly to get it back in action.

That is a solid watch!
