Are redundant/repetitive polls dumbing down/detracting from WatchCrunch?

Same poll, just minutes apart. Not counting the hundreds of other polls asking the same question. Are redundant/repetitive polls dumbing down/detracting from WatchCrunch? (See example below...)

I didn't read your post, but what kind of strap do you like on your watch?

😃

I'll see myself out.

As the reigning March Madness poll abuser, I should be the last to speak, however I do think seeing the same polls every few days is rough for some. As is the same non-poll questions that come up ever few days. BUT, I then go to the Disney customer service story. When a greeter was asked, how are you able to smile and act with the same level of enthusiasm every single time someone asks you where the bathroom is? The reply: Because it is their first time here.

I keep that in the back of mine not everyone uses or knows how to search. There is not really a good FAQs section. If we had a FAQ section, we could capture those top twelve questions and people can simply add onto them, but even with that, I am sure others will still go right to the new post button.

What kind of makes it neat here is the community not ripping a person apart for asking a repetitive question (Not insinuating you are doing that) like other forums that are hostile to new comers.

Make a separate tab for polls or allow people to filter them out of their feeds.

The folks who post a lot of polls tend to burn out and move on. They get something different out of WC than most of us do. I am a committed anti-poll person.

This isn't a bad idea, maybe a way to filter or better personalize how the user interacts with polls could help?

Absolutely do not want a hostile place but there has to be some rule to keep things from just getting pointless. Otherwise people with knowledge and experience in the hobby will eventually jump ship. That happens and this is just another FB group. That would suck!

Absolutely see your point. Not sure where the balance is.

Above my pay grade to decide but something needs to be done about it.
