A New Old Bracelet for the Bulova
I’ve always wanted to own a gold watch, more specifically a Rolex Day-Date. Realistically though that’s never going to happen so I figured I’d work what I currently own to get approximately 0.015% of the way there. Enter the Bulova American Clipper in all its gold-plated glory. Add a Speidel Twist-o-flex and you got the occasional hair pulling little charmer. I think it looks great. This was my first time working with one of these twist-o-flex bands and it’s got to be one of the absolute worst bracelets to adjust and size… definitely not recommended for the faint of heart. 😂
Anybody else like the twist-o-flex bracelets?

I had a similar band on my Swatch sometime ago. Makes a great fidget device. No hair pulling for me though. (I’ve got a hair less wrist)
I've been thinking about a gold watch also. You’ve put together a handsome watch! Not sure I could live with the hair pulling aspect. I've been thinking about the 35mm gold PRX.
Beautiful watch, but I have hairy arms. No flexible bracelets for me! Personally, I think Bulovas are great. I own two. Bulova has such a huge catalog, they must have a day/date you would like, and likely at a great price on eBay.

I knew the band would be a deal breaker for many. 😂 And I agree Bulova does make some beautiful watches. I’ve seen their day-date variants before on the Bay but hard to find one in great condition. For now the hair puller will have to do unless I run into a gold PRX soon. 🙃
Speidel made them mainstream back in the day. Some watches actually look good on these because it was a very popular aftermarket choice.
Love the look here! The older I get, the more appealing a gold watch seems to me. I think the charm and look of what you got going here is timeless!
