A Fresh Fortis
I was looking over Hodinkee’s recent photo report of everything they saw at the Geneva Spring Auction and was inspired by a photo of John Goldberg to try a band pairing I would have NEVER considered and I must say it’s really opened up the flexibility of this watch! I usually keep my Fortis on a leather but I always felt its sparkling opaline dial was a bit overpowering for jeans and a shirt… but with the steel mesh it balances that out a bit and gives the watch some retro vibes. I think Goldberg’s Laurent Ferrier dark sector dial with it’s much larger bezel is a better match but this ain’t too shabby either 😂

Works very well. Good job. But it is a fantastic shot of a confident Mr Goldberg. Very cool outfit with unbottended OCBD with worn shirt cuff. Pure class.
