My new Milanese mesh bracelet from Aliexpress

The el cheapo milanese mesh bracelet I just received from AliExpress is actually pretty darn nice!

I’ve been skeptical about the straps…but maybe I’ll try some.

I paid a whopping $3.76 (USD) for it, including shipping! 😜

To be clear, the quality is not on par with the OEM mesh bracelet that came with my other Junghans Max Bill, but it’s more than good enough for $3.76!

I've bought a rose and yellow gold to give these a different look. They're ok, the catch isn't easy to engage but once it's on it's solid. For a minimum outlay they've done the business. And quick release is always a positive!

I was thinking of a Milanese strap as well so your post is perfect timing! Any one you particularly recommend?

Now I’m tempted to buy some gold-tone bracelets for my vintage gold watches.

The price is less than a coffee so it's worth a punt. If they don't work out they can go in the box and could be useful further down the line.

Got mine too from our local e-commerce app similar to Ali...

Here's a thin one like yours...

And here's a thicker 1.0 mesh

OK, a necessary follow-up to my OP… I can’t recommend the cheap bracelet, even for $3.76. The edges are poorly finished and the bracelet feels rather scratchy against my wrist as a result.

I have on order a Staib milanese bracelet (pictured), but based on a 20mm Staib that I have on another watch, I fear that the mesh may be too thick to pair well with the dainty Max Bill. We will see in a few days if it will work out or not.

I am also checking with some local Junghans dealers to see if they can source an OEM 18mm Junghans bracelet from their distributor, as the Junghans online shop appears to only ship to addresses in Germany and Austria, and I am in the USA. The OEM bracelet on my other Max Bill is extremely comfortable and light, and its thinness beautifully complements the thinness of the watch.

Sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with the ones you bought. I've been quite pleased with the ones I got.

Secondly, when buying a mesh bracelet, it's important to also check how thick it is. In my examples above, the first two I believe are 0.5mm thick. The last one is 1.0mm. Based on how your watches are designed and its overall look, thickness and weight, you will be able to make a better decision if you'll get the thinner or thicker variant for each of your watches.
