1st Seiko

For some reason I never got around to picking up a Seiko. I've been meaning to, but they have such a huge catalog. It's hard to really single out one specific one. That is until I saw this one. I had been eyeing a different model, but this one just spoke to me.

Recently I've been attempting to watch all of One Piece, which considering its over 1000 episodes long has taken a while. I started some time in 2021 and have recently reached the mid 600s. So with that in mind, when I stumbled upon another One Piece Seiko collaboration, I was intrigued. It only took a quick google search to find out there have been many.

This one is celebrating the character Usopp, who is my favorite character. That aside the aesthetics of this one just spoke to me. The red dial with the subdued cross hairs, and the engraved sling shot on the crystal are so understated.

Sadly the leather strap (not pictured) was terrible. It was just so stiff, it was basically unwearable. I had planned to pick up a bracelet for the watch, but then I remembered I had that Vario Strap. I think it fits it perfectly.

The case back is less subtle, but the hint of gold is fun touch. All in all, I'm very happy with my first Seiko, and already have my eyes on a second.
