Cartier Santos Galbee XL

Good Morning Everybody!

So, as we all occasionally do in this hobby, a recent article on Fratello has taken me down the rabbit hole of looking seriously at a Cartier Santos Galbee XL.  All steel version, thought the two tone is lovely.  Any owners out there want to weigh in on their experiences?

For reference, my wrist size is 6.75 and this would not be daily driver but would get in the rotation quite a bit.  Other pieces I own are a SMP Pro 300 (white dial), Tudor Pelagos and vintage Omega Gold Dress watch.

Wrist shots welcome!  Thanks

The Santos line can be really confusing. That 2002 Limited Edition Galbee that @roberto posted looks so similar to the new Santos De Cartier with the grey dial, which only adds to the confusion.  That confusion is compounded by the fact that the currently available models include both the "Santos De Cartier" and the "Santos Dumont" versions, which look similar, but at the same time, very different.

I'm thrilled with my WSSA0037, which is the large version of the Santos De Cartier collection, with the SS case and ADLC bezel. The one thing that seems to be common among the lineup is the fact that the bezel can be a scratch magnet, which is one of the reasons that I opted for the model I did.
