Looking for a new strap for my Spaceview
Hello Crunchers,
I hope you had a great start into this week's Friday.
Today I got my Spaceview back from the revision. I currently have a practical and comfy Perlon strap on the watch, which is ideal for hot days. The infinite adjustment means you can always find the right fit.
However, I think a more formal strap could take the look of the watch to a new level, especially for the colder months in autumn and winter.
What do you think? What goes with this watch? Do you have any tips on how to get odd measurements in a "metric" country without tailor-made straps?

I think a black or brown leather strap would a “chef’s kiss” on that gorgeous Spaceview 🤙🎯❤️

Thanks for the option, but I know it might sound silly, but I think alligator straps look too "grandfather"-like. Please tell me, am I too narrow minded? 🤔

Then skip the alligator part. I still say green leather looks awesome with a Spaceview. The only reason I don’t use it myself with my Spaceview is I have larger wrists, and I need a more substantial strap on the watch or it kind of disappears on me. Pardon me, being 58 it never occurred to me that it was old people stuff. Just my opinion. Do what you want, and be comfortable.

Gold filled. Its also newer than it looks, (N0) it was an earlier style of case but I wanted it to look as much like an early dealer conversion as possible. So many conversions have the wrong hands, the wrong crystal or worst of all the wrong hands PAINTED WHITE! Nothing drives me crazier than seeing a "Spaceview" of a Railroad Watch with White Painted spade hands, I wish they made the repro crystal with lume marks in the dots. then it would be perfect.
I hate suede straps, I'm a 70s kid, I never liked the feel of suede, to me it feels like wiping my hands on a chalkboard.
I have also a larger wrists, so maybe a bund strap would also be the right choice for me.

Yes, that has a chapter ring, its a factory Spaceview. The smaller ones like mine were originally done at the jeweler, and are now being hacked together, usually poorly on eBay.
I'm not a pro, but it should have hands like this. I had them on mine before I found the right ones. (see picture) I have an extra set kicking round here. remind me next week (after Tuesday) and I'll see if I can stick them in an envelope. Not like I have a use for them.

That would be too much hence my Spaceview was just in Service so it won't be serviced in the next decade or so and on top of that I'm living at the other side of the world.
