I have always love the design of the Bvlguri Octo Finissimo but find it too thin and hard to pay the high price tag for it. I came through this model of the Octo line, its called the Octo Velocissimo. I love how its thicker/chunkier of 13mm, a smaller case size of 41.5mm compared to 43mm of the Octo Finissimo Chronograph, and most importantly, more affordable than the current Finissimo model.
Its really hard to find an in-depth review (which I can only find one by aBlogtoWatch) on this particular model. What I found is, it was launch in 2016 and later discontinued but not sure when. It uses a Zenith El Primero Caliber inside.
I then managed to find a brand new piece in Japan, Kyoto for a really reasonable price compared to Chrono24 which I cant refuse so I pulled the trigger on it. I am over the moon with this piece.
But I would love to learn more about this “Velocissimo” model and would appreciate anyone that could educate me about this piece (like when did it discontinued, is this model the predecessor of the current Octo Roma etc)
