Somlo London - Vintage night
The furthest forward pocket watch is over 400 years old! The Breguet was hand made by Breguet himself, and actually belonged to Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother Lucien. It’s a montre à tact, a complication that has small protruding parts around the outside. This meant the wearer could subtly check the time in their pocket without appearing rude at a function.

They range from £80,000-£100,000 from this selection. In the oldest example, it’s honestly hard to imagine what else outside of watches you could buy for £100k, that’s 400 years old and still working. Especially when it was the peak of technology/luxury available to nobility at the time. It predates steam power!
