Piaget makes very cool watches, I'm definitely looking forward to their releases at W&W!
Iโm very lucky to have had a sneak peek! I wasnโt expecting to enjoy these watches as much as I did. The modern Polo has one of the most interesting bezels Iโve seen. It doesnโt come across well in photos, but it sparkles like no other steel watch Iโve seen. The finishing is very impressive, you can tell theyโre a jeweller.
Iโll get some gifs up later in the week to try and capture it here. So much more than an aquanautโs cousin, and this is coming from someone who adores the aquanaut.
That Piaget in all gold looks a lot better than in the highly touched up promotional shots and renders
Itโs a quartz from the 80s, technically itโs not been in any renders ๐
The modern reissue looks bang on. Only difference is the crown isnโt on the back! Itโs spot the difference stuff, but the crown on the modern one is on the right hand side.
You can just about see โquartzโ on the dial here. This was a time when quartz wasnโt a dirty word. 280 grams of solid gold around that battery!
