Sometimes insted of thinking of an original design I like tinkering with existing watches. Here is my take on IWC Ingenieur.

I am not trying to be arrogant here. This post is not about me knowing better than IWC. I don't. I'm just a dumb random nobody on the internet. Also, I absolutely love the Ingenieur and wish I could afford it. But I think most people can relate to the feeling when you really like a certain watch there is this one small detail that we wish was done differently. This is completely the matter of individual taste. So for me it's the flatness of the case and size in relation to bezel diameter. I absolutely love the way the watch looks from the front, but when I look at the profile something feels a bit off.

So I thought, what if I update the design by giving the case an ever so slight curve and add some small arbitrary details without changing the watch proportions. Here is the result. What do you think?

You have a knack for this. Looks good.

That was one negative that a reviewer had, just how flat it sits on the wrist. It doesn’t curve/hug the wrist.

What you did would make it a much more wearable watch for sure.
