Alpina has a long history and I think their Startimer aviation style watches have an attractive face. They‘ve been a bit to big for me to buy for now. They use ETA or Sellita movements, so should be a good performers. Best value will likely be online, but make sure you will be comfortable with the size before you make an online buy.
I wear my Alpina Alpinist GMT on a regular basis and I really enjoy it. Quartz movement, thin on the wrist and a beautiful dial. Recently I saw my exact model for sale at Costco ($550 USD). But I probably won’t buy another Alpina - there are plenty of better options at that price point.

There are not many retailers stock them. So grey market it may have to be. Thank you.

I started looking at Longines and gravitated to the Alpina. I tried two
I liked the look of both but preferred the automatic to the quartz. No purchase yet though.

Good watches and readily available at gray market sites. You can get decent deals on their quartz models.
Good quality but most are to big for my tastes.
Thank you.

How do you find the size of the Alpiner 4? I like the look, but 45mm is daunting.
