Gorgeous looking piece, that linen dial is simply something else, looks great on wrist but even better on a black background!
Special watch you have there John.
Thank you Miguel.. it is quite special to me. Apart from being my first Timex (as an adult), it was made in the Scottish factory not too far from where I was born.

I appreciate you looking and commenting 🙏
And rightly so..being from Portugal, hard to get that factory connection with birthplace (not a lot of watch industry here) but can get the feeling. Always good to have a special watch for certain reasons that happens to be beautiful on top!
I never remember timex Tuesdays! That's a cracker btw!
Thanks Dominic, it may not get a lot of wrist time (I'm not a dressy sort of guy), but it is one of my favorites and a permanent fixture in my modest collection.
John, thanks for sharing this great looking Time and that Timex had a factory in GB. I did not know and I will be chasing them down. 😍
Hi Mark. The factory closed in the 90s after a period of strike action, but it's a fascinating story. You should check it out if your interested in Timex.
I’ve already started to dig in! I do like going down the history rabbit holes as well as new finds. There a new watch startup here in Colorado that will be producing watches here. I can’t wait to tour their facility. 🤝

A Gentleman's watch John!
I'm not sure I can pass as a gentleman 😂

🤔 I wonder if the phrase "it takes one to know one" is relevant here 😂
