Amazing article_Timex has Ironman

This article brought back memories of my very first real good watch. It was a gift from my uncle. Sweet of him. It was the coolest ever for a 7 year old.

Remember aunt mentioning it's the in thing now. True to her word.

It went everywhere with me. Dozen times must have showered.

Those were some good old days.

Thinking about it now. It's been more of Ironman than G Shocks growing up.

Though later I'm into 5600 pure horology of Casio. Now thinking. The Ironman 30 is the watch you need to get going with doing things in life.

The Indiglo could be the better BL than Casio. Unfortunately while the Casio most often than not makes you earn reading than time. Indiglo is always whole hearted in it's efforts.

So here I am all grown up banging my Ironman 30 in life. Thanks for this wonderful article.

There is an argument to be made that the Ironman saved Timex from yet another financial ruin. The Timex Corporation of today is indebted to the success of that one watch. Consequently, the Ironman may be one of the most important watches ever made.

Very true. Rightly so. After all it's also the watch of jocko willink, the toughest Navy SEAL ever.

Thanks for for your thoughts.

I've never owned a 5600, and frankly don't see the appeal. I've always been more of a Timex fan, though I am/was more into the Atlantis line than the Ironman line.

I would say, just in my opinion G-Shock is more industrial. Probably more robust. Might go win the war or survive being dropped from the chopper. Ironman is just lil more fun with the fonts and Indiglo is amazing.

Said so much. Atlantis is super great. The black out version. Only like these vintage models too.

My philosophy on G-Shocks, or even Ironman Shocks is pretty simple. What good is a watch that can take more abuse than the wrist it's attached to? 😂

The primary function of a watch is to tell you the time, anything that makes telling the time harder (small numbers, bad light), makes a watch worse in my mind.

I'll take this Ironman over an G-Shock.

I have the very same watch. Wow. I wear it everywhere. Just to recount something funny. I've one with funny yellow start split buttons. So sometimes it looks like a school boys watch.

Looking forward to getting one in these colours.
