Earlier until this month. I would have vouched for my f91W or 5600. I sadly managed to sink my f91W.
There are the beautiful mechanical ones. Some might withstand the conditions.
But I might just pick an Ironman now and forget about it. Solar would have been bonus though.
I have the very same watch. Wow. I wear it everywhere. Just to recount something funny. I've one with funny yellow start split buttons. So sometimes it looks like a school boys watch.

I would say, just in my opinion G-Shock is more industrial. Probably more robust. Might go win the war or survive being dropped from the chopper. Ironman is just lil more fun with the fonts and Indiglo is amazing.
