I am looking for a durable dive watch for around 250$. (Preferably between 40 and 50mm).It needs to be strong and shock resistant so it can handle my active lifestyle. Which brands do you recommend?

G shock, mudman G-9300.. Classic, Tough.
Buy Casio Marlins in black , blue and black and GOLD , Buy 3 sapphires , and 3 straps. One silicon white, one leather Brown , one nato James Bond. There is your $250 . Thank me later.
Edit, metal strap also good option.
Pick a G-Shock. Teddy Baldasarre dropped G-shocks out of a helicopter and they still worked.
There other brand is Marathon. They're built for the military so it should be good for you.
If you want to go Automatic, you can always pick up an Invicta pro diver, or if you are ready to stretch to 300$ you could buy a Seiko Samurai or a Seiko Monster ! I LOVE my Samurai.
Casio Duro (Quartz) 50-70 Euro
Orient Kamasu - Automatik (or any other Model as like Ray or Mako, new productions have even Sapphire, so check before) around 200 - 220 Euro
Citizen Promaster BN0200 in Titanium (Solar powered Quartz) Around 250 Euro
All these models are also offered in different colors. I don't know how active your life style is, but if you mean like mountain biking or any sport/activity where the watches has to stand repeatendly heavy shocks, I would recommend you do go for a Quartz model. The Casio Duro is a legend and for it's price a no-brainer. But depending on your activities the Citizen could be more suitable due to the Titanium which is super light and comfortable on the wrist. So you will not feel something heavy. But as long you are wearing the Casio Duro on a rubber strap, it would be also ok.
Another vote for the Orient Kamasu here. A beautiful dive watch with great specs at that price point.
Seiko SNE.
200m WR.
quartz so can take a beating.
Solar so will last forever.
Look great IMO.
Lots of colourways
Seiko Solar 38.5 Prospex.
Momentum Sea Quartz (also consider their M-Ocean 38 but no pics)
Here ya go
IMO the best low cost, true diver.
Casio Marlin will get the job done and it is way cheaper than 250. I have one and I love it. It feels very durable
