Volvo Reimagined watch

I’m wondering if the watch hive mind knows any specs on the Volvo watch? Volvo Design actually did this and it even uses the same material from the seats for the straps. Comes in 2 color ways, this one and one with a black strap with grey small seconds dial.

There’s no info on the movement beyond Japanese (I’m guessing Seiko VK68 based on hand placement) or what the crystal is (I suspect mineral as the watch is $230)

Any ideas? I’m smitten but I’m on the fence

Sweet Swedish Surprise.

If you manage to say that fast, three times, without missing a beat… it’s a  keeper 😁

I like it!

Very minimalistic.  I like it

but the subdial position is making me twitchy.

It generally reeks of that Scandinavian minimalist clean design, but I was offended by the inclusion of a small seconds (obsolete since WWII!) even before @6point5wrist pointed out the suboptimal placement.

Interesting that it comes in 36 and 40mm.

I also get the feeling that "Reimagined leather" is some reconstituted nonsense in the name of phony environmentalism, but it's not lending itself to quick googling.

Yeah, so it’s part of their new sustainability push and that material is recyclable. I’m still wondering if anyone has a clue to the movement…

talking as a Volvo fanboi here: Volvo is famous for their environmentalism dating back to the early 60s when they developed  environmentally friendly paint for their cars… they were doing it long before it was fashionable

That’s pretty slick. I like it. Reminds me of this Braun.
