Fit on the Citizen Promaster Diver 44mm

I’m in need of some advice. I cannot seem to find one around my area to try on and see for myself. most reviews I’ve watched say it fits a little smaller than the dimensions suggest, more 40-41mm. With a case size of 44mm and lug to lug of 50mm I’m curious to see what people’s experience is of the actual fit.

Could anyone give me an idea of how the 44mm promaster diver fits on wrist?

I have a 7 inch wrist, and own a Casio Duro for reference.

Fits great on my 6.5 inch wrist. It does wear slightly smaller, even more than the Duro. Still very legible, though, super easy to see during dives.

@madminuteman thanks for the input!! So you’d say it wears sightly smaller than the Duro?

You're welcome. And yeah, if the Duro wears like a 42mm, the Promaster is like a 40mm.

So I have the 45mm promaster eco-drive. I have a 6.5” wrist. It actually fits surprisingly well and I think that it’s due to the thickness or lack thereof. On a 7” wrist you’re golden. While I like the watch and I can pull it off, it’s realistically not my style and bigger than I would prefer. If you’re interested, PM me as I’ve been wanting to sell mine for a while.

Great watch! Had one for a while, and it’s true, the short lugs make this wear much smaller imo. Here it is on my ~7.25” wrist:

@Donster_125 thanks for your input! While I appreciate the offer, I already have a specific one in mind, just want to be sure about the size!

@GullibleAndroid thank you for the picture! Great for reference. I appreciate it!

Yeah definitely wears smaller. I have the green one on the bracelet. The bracelet is really good for the price point. The ratcheting clasp really helps on hot days when your wrist expands.

Citizen released new 37mm Promaster Divers recently if your concerned about the size. They have all of the same functionality as their larger cousins and would look great on a 7 inch wrist.

@Suddenly_Monday Yeah I’ve been seeing the 37mm ones everywhere online. I just have a very specific version of the Promaster Diver in mind which does not come in the 37mm. Perhaps in the future in which case I’d jump on it !

One of the best watches I own.

One of my favorite watches. It wears smaller then the size would make you think. The lum is awesome! And with the eco drive it's grab and go. I put an Island Watch jubilee bracelet they make specifically for the Promaster

@seikonly I do think watches can ‘wear’ smaller and that it can make a big difference. I have tried the tool, but idk if it is very accurate or good. I tried it on both the 44 and the 37, and they looked about the same😂 so don’t know if I trust it. I do agree an actual 40-41 mm one would sell like hot cakes. Maybe now they are playing around more with the size with the 36mm they’ll make more! Thanks for the input though!
