Value at every price point

Two polar opposites in terms of design, purpose & price, but equally as cool & meaningful watches in my collection.

The Rolex was passed down to me from my father who received it from my grandfather making me the 3rd generation to own the watch.

The Padi Seiko Samurai was the first mechanical watch I bought with my own money with my name signed on the warranty card & certificate. If you’re a watch obsessed geek like me, you know how special that is. Plus, this is a co-branded dial with @paditv an in-house movement with a ceramic bezel, in that entry level $400-$500 price range for me there is no better watch. For you watch snobs out there, if you don’t have a Seiko, go out & get yourself one. 🤘🏼😁

Great watches both! One has personal history and the other is great value for what it does!

I’d normally dismiss a picture of a Rolex (I’m a little oversaturated) but 3rd generation owner! That provenance! Stunning piece 👌I too have a Samurai that was a hard earned purchase, I can relate 👍

My Rolex and Seiko experiences happened more than 30 years ago, it took a few more years to jump in but I am now Grand Seiko obsessed!

I love Grand Seiko, in the realm of luxury watches I'd make the argument that they offer a hell of a lot more value than modern Rolex does. They're craftsmanship, finishing & innovation is absolutely awesome.

Thank you, I occasionally think about selling my Samurai to add to my savings to fund another piece but I'm very hesitant cause of the watch's sentimental value & I might regret it too
