New vs. Old

Recently, I’ve been thinking about these two watches and wondering about their differences, is one better? I don’t know. So, I’m turning to y’all because my judgement has shown to be suspect. What’s your opinion on these two watches? The dials, the date placements, the bracelets, what do you think? (Btw none of the photos are mine)

If I make you one would you know the difference 😁😜

Theoretically the movement in the new line is better, spec wise. However the SPB143, and every other model that shares that 6R series movement are spotty in terms of performance. Time will tell with the new caliber.

I would say it's not a fair fight until hype dies down and you can buy the newer model below retail. 1300 is too much to pay for either one, but at least the 143 you can find for sub 1000.

100% agree, these are not over $1000 watches.

For me 143 because of the grey dial. It defines this watch (62MAS). Black is cool too but for me a part of the identity is lost !

But no wrong choice ! I prefer the date placement of the new ones.

As for the bracelet I don’t like it on the 143 and won’t like the new one either. Those skin diver cases are meant to live on a rubber tropic or nato.

New, anything that makes it less date is a big improvement.
