I will say I wish that the second hand was metal instead of blue cause it seems like Seiko always does white and blue together, I do know that they did come out with one as I requested but it's a bit expensive for me right now.

It wouldn't be difficult to source a different second hand and have a local watchmaker swap it out.
I'd offer to do it for you but I'm a bit far away and postage would be prohibitive I expect.

I used to have the red dial - was 38mm with 20mm lug width, and a fairly average lug to lug

You can alternatively find a Seiko modder in your area. Usually this hand replacements are not that expensive.
