I have a list of watches that I will buy if the opportunity presents itself as well as a feeling of “I like this and it’s within budget” that allows for some additions that feel right but weren’t really planned
I’ve had a wish list for quite sometime and I’ve been following it closely. I’m working toward a mix of different complications, metals, uses, shapes, dials, etc. I’m waiting for three more. And I have them prioritized as to which will be next: GMT Master II, JLC Reverso and a titanium GS Lake Suwa.

I like the approach and selections! Takes patience
It's complete nonsense for me. I have certain principles for one watch purchase that I'll flagrantly ignore for another.
For example, I like the Oris BCPD in red, but the price is outside my bracket, so I got a cheap (but reasonable) Chinese homage.
So you'd be forgiven for thinking that, in principle, I have no problem with homages.
But I also like the Tudor BB Burgundy (again, outside of the price bracket). NTH does a great-looking homage, but this time, I felt it looked too similar, so I went with the Wolbrook Skindiver Wordlimer with the red bezel because it gave me a lot of what draws me to the Tudor but has its own very distinctive design language.
So, do I have an issue with homages or not? It depends. On what? I haven't the faintest idea!
I kinda keep a running list of watches I’m interested in buying. It expands and contracts as my interest peaks and wanes. When the time comes to buy my next watch, I’ll probably look at the ones which have stayed on the list throughout all the changes.

I hear ya. Our minds can justify things for us quite readily. The question is, will you have regrets if you go down an alternate path?

Same here. I like a plan. Then learn about some real grail I’ll never afford so I try and keep my list real with the “if I win the lottery” list being a mental one.

No method whatsoever.
It is what it is.
Everyone’s different. I know my next 3 watches.

Desperately seeking...
A and B
No method, just madness.
I already bought too many for one year (yes, already), I think I'll wait a little longer before it feels right to get a new one
which is the watch for option c? I know its a tag of some sort.
My next watch will be a grail watch

Truth!
Option b for me. With limited availabilities and budget it makes the most sense.

Really depends on where everyone is at with budgets and how much planning can be done. When the right one hits, it hits!
I voted for the Brew Metric. Clearly the best watch of the bunch.
Wait … what were we voting for on this one?

Now the poll is tainted! Haha
