Any WOLF Windsor 10 owners ? I have a question.

How much space is needed at the back of the box to open the cover ?

I want to purchase this box with the aim of placing it on top of a 3 1/2 ft bookcase. The depth of the bookcase is 11 inches. I am wondering if I will need to pull the watchbox forward off the top of the bookcase each time I want to open it.

Thank you for your response.

I just measured mine, and it appears to be just a bit over 1.5", so you would need 11.5" to be able to have it fully open and not have any overhang.

I just put in my order for one of them. Thanks again.

You're welcome. I have 4 of the Wolf Windsor 10 slot boxes, and really like them. The slots are big enough to keep the watches separated, the box is reasonably constructed, and I really feel that the angled edges set it apart from most other boxes. I also like the idea of boxes with transparent tops, so that the box can be used both for storage (easy to stuff in a safe) and display. I'm trying to find another black/purple box, but they seem to be very tough to find. Amazon seems to have the brown/orange and the black/silver, but the black/purple seems to always show as out of stock.
