I've got a pretty good assortment of sub£1000 aviation watches and am now thinking about moving up a gear. Bit scary and I'm definitely going to have to save up. The Breguet was a monster, in class as well as price. The IWC Top Gun reminded me of my Airpilot and the Big Pilot was making me feel small. Much good food for thought.

Always been wary of mechanical chronograph's, my simple 3 hander Seamaster was nearly £500 & 3 months to service,so I dread to think how much one of those beauties would cost!!
Fair warning. Got to say I love the Airpilot for all the accuracy and none of the inconvenience but the Breguet was magical.
The Breguet type 20s are dope 😎
Great choices. Consider Glashutte Original, JLC and blancpain they all do some amazing watches.
Breguet is dope!

It's been drilling a whole in my head from the minute I saw it. Looking at the steel version - cheaper and better in some ways. The 3880ST is a masterpiece in engineering but I'm worried about getting it second hand so might have to bite a big bullet and go new. Got some saving up to do!!!!

I have bought most of my watches second hand, it is almost always the way to go.
