A couple of years ago, I considered purchasing this watch, but the authorized dealer was pricing it at around €1200, which I found steep, so I passed.
A little while later the 62mas reissue was released. Not only was it priced well above €3000, it was also challenging to find. I finally accepted the fact that there is no way I was going to own that watch.
Finally, last week I again found the SPB143 new but this time for almost half that asking price of a few years back. So i went for it.
Being the strap monster that it is, i immediately swapped out the bracelet.

The SPB143 and 239 are the only two Seiko watches that interest me. The styling is great, and the price these days seems to be down to what I would consider reasonable.
The only thing stopping me from going down that path is the fact my Marathon Navigator is eating up all of my wrist time.
Congratulations and it looks great on that red strap, convinces me I have to have one of those because I have this same watch. Just what I need, another watch strap 🤪
