CASIO MTP-1302PD-2A2V in Tiffany Blue "Review"

I have had my CASIO MTP-1302PD-2A2V for one week now. When I saw the Whatch I immediately fell in love with it and knew I needed it. I thought about doing a small review of it. Here it is.

I'll start with the design and housing of the movement. First of all, I love this colour. Tiffany Blue is such a nice colour, which might not look as good as it is in photos, but it is so nice when you are wearing it on the wrist. Sadly the case isn't made out of stainless steel but the bracelet is. Although it is beautifully polished and with some details such as the bezel ring decorated. The dial is made very detailed. The bracelet is a "brush and polish Oyster bracelet" with a deployant clasp that is brushed and has the CASIO logo.

Further on with the technical aspects. The Watch has a Quartz movement which allows hacking (which means to stop the second hand when you set the time). The battery life is listed as 3 years. The movement has a time loss of ±20 seconds a month which is not bad. The watch has an ATM (Atmospheric) rating of 5, meaning you can swim with the watch (not diving).

I think for its price (56€; but if you want to buy it, you have to pay more because it is out of stock in the CASIO online shop so you only get it on aftermarket such as eBay, Chrono24, etc.) it is a pretty well made and unique watch .

What do you think about it?

My suspicion is that the base metal(?) case and quartz movement lead to a lack of heft, but the bracelet probably hides this. It is amazing that I don't own a watch with a fluted bezel given how much I like them.

Not a fan of folded link bracelets.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that I hate them. but I do have a strong loathing for them.

I love this watch, but the hype surrounding it and resultant high prices are the killer for me. It's an amazing watch, just not at the price some people are charging for it. For anyone thinking of buying one: buy it, but just wait for the bubble to burst slightly first. Great watch, great colour, and (most of all) great value.

It looks sweet but is it true that it isn't made of stainless steel?

I am looking for a other bracelet (president). But the end links have to fit on the case.

Same 🤝 I also think they are overpriced.
