It’s a matter of taste. 

I don’t like the Ellipse. If you like it, that’s fine. 

The tank is much better to my eyes.

Amazon has the cousin of this watch back in stock for $89.99. The EFB-108D-7AV. They’ve had the black version, but I think the texture is more visible in the white face model.

Long ago I wore my Rolex Gold Date, then a Citizen Eco-Drive. In recent years, my Submariner was my everyday watch. 
 

I bought this Longines Spirit Zulu Time late last year and it is my daily wear watch.

I still love the SubC but it needs a break.

Rolex 15038 34mm gold Date my Mom gave me shortly before my first son was born in 1986.

I wore it for a couple of years but it was getting a lot of wear, so I put it on hiatus. Mom noticed and said “wear it!”.

So I did. it’s been serviced and now gets worn for special occasions. I had Rolex put a new Alligator band on it with a gold clasp.

Mom died in 2016. This watch will always be in my collection.

It makes me happy just looking at it.

I don’t have a blue watch, and the darker one catches my eye. The lighter one seems to be everywhere, and I think is a bit of a fad.

I like this watch but it’s a bit big. I also like the Citizen Tsuyosa automatic, but it’s 2-3 times as expensive, and there’s also the Tissot PRX, again more expensive. We are living in a great time for watches.

I suppose for the price I might take the larger Casio.

I really like mine, on the leather strap. It fits nicely on my 6.5” wrist and I like the microadjust.
