Why don’t we talk more about…. Ebel?

Created in 1911 by husband and wife, Eugene Plumb and Alice Levy in La-Chaux-De-Fonds, Ebel has been a luxury Swiss watch company.  Known best for their Sport Classic watches released in 1977 with the now famous integrated wave bracelet.  Ebel currently offers 111 models from $850.00 to $5500.00.  Most still come on the wave bracelet.  Have you ever owned an Ebel?  If so please share your experience.

This is the first in a series of discussions I intend to start here on Watch Crunch. If there is a brand of watch that you feel isn't getting it's share of conversation, mail me and I will be happy to include them in a future "Why don’t we talk more about…." discussion.

Is this going to turn into a multi-year discussion like on another popular watch forum? I hope so. It’s a fun brand. I don’t have experience with them but definitely neat watches and of an era that may take a little longer for the enthusiast community to come back around to. I’m guessing the round designs of the late 90s and 00s will come back into favor at some point and when they do, I think people will be jumping on both their older and current models.

Cool Brand, if you're like me and you like your vices with a hint of Miami flavor.

A cheap, quartz time only on a wave bracelet would be a welcome addition to my collection, btw. 🤔

I sure like the logo at 12:00.
