Rectangle or circle? (AndoAndoAndo A-1)
Found out about this watch on the Just the Watch YouTube channel. I was looking for a small watch that had a sapphire crystal but, more importantly, was quirky/unique in some way. This scratches that itch perfectly.
At $300, I honestly think it is a little expensive for what it is- a Seiko NH36A movement, a pretty sterile dial, and a crown that could honestly be a lot more tactile. But you’re paying for this unique case design first and foremost.
Unfortunately it comes on a pretty plasticky leather strap, but replacing that with this milanese has been a gamechanger for how often I want to put it on.
I highly recommend visiting the AndoAndoAndo website for more information- Yu Ando is the designer of the watch and he has a really interesting story of coming from environmental design (which made this watch a legitimately really cool unboxing experience).
All in all, a quirky watch that I probably overpaid for but that I thoroughly enjoy nonetheless.
