Winning #1WC is about endurance (and Aurelian's rules...)

According to MC @Aurelian this is the day when we, the #1wc contestants, must post. So post I shall.

In order for a watch to win this it must be suitable for daily wear. Which means it should have water resistance, accuracy and be somewhat versatile. It should not be too uncomfortable either... this will go on for a while after all. The OP 34 was basically made for this. Light, robust and designed as a less shiny DateJust variant. The dials are more plain and the bezel decoration on my version is much less aggressive than DateJust fluted ones and discontinued (so not as well known).

It makes it less recognisable (under the Radar as far as Rolex go) and thus suitable for daily wear (unless you want to be noticed of course). It's also fully brushed so it doesn't show its scratches as much.

And that's exactly why Pete (from Disney) would wear that. According to my limited investigations Pete is the oldest living Disney character. In other words he is a super senior employee with loads of shares in Disney (he's got more money than God basically). He can afford anything. But Pete is a simple fella (look at him) and so he wants a watch that reflects that but a high quality one. He aspired to Rolex when he was young and now he can afford one. The choice of brand is easy. So why not a Daytona you ask! Well, he's old and conservative and so he wants a smaller watch (he doesn't get the kids these days). The cyclops also helps reading it due to age induced poor eyesight and we all know watches with Date windows are superior.

Respect for pulling Pete as a villain. All the kids only know Elsa.
