I had one…it’s not the case size that is the problem. It’s the massively long lugs, and the modern LLD is not a real compressor case either, just a dual crown, which has a weird way of locking the internal bezel, that I found annoying.
There are many vintage EPSA cased watches out there, solid eta movements… the Delvina Geneve is 38mm wears really well.

This is my two crowns, internal rotating bezel, but not a diver nor a super compressor, but instead an aviation inspired watch. I love it (the bird in the back is my friend).
