Time for some yard work…..

Not a thing wrong with having a really large collection, but depending on your personality type, it can be a daunting chore to choose your daily out of 20+ options.

For me, I like to keep my collection tight and purposeful. So when it’s time for a particular context (dress, casual, sleep, work, etc….) I have an easy time making my choice.

Today, my tried and true Tissot Gentleman will go with me once again into the fray of yard work. We’ve been through a lot together as we both age…..hopefully gracefully. 😏

Have a great Saturday, fellow nerds ~

100% agree. I realised not every enthusiast is blessed with octopus DNA to support enjoying their burgeoning collection or help them choose their "wristwatch for day".

Today I have an empty 20-slot watch box along with 6 loved (but near-pristine) timepieces listed for sale at my local marketplace. My remaining 5 piece collection will be a lot easier to rotate through and each piece in it will get ample wrist time each week!

What are you selling?

Citizen, Rotary, Orient Star/Hamilton, Bambino, Stührling. Affordables basically.

Through the years, I'll go from this to only having like 10 and eventually getting back to this 🤷‍♂️

Probably one of the nicest watches Tissot makes. I have a Courturier as my wedding watch (and I got a great deal on it) but if I Gentlemen was available at the price I budgeted I absolutely would have picked it up.

Yeah, I owned one of those myself back in the day. I really loved it when I had it, really hard strap to change. Now that I wear the gentleman, no regrets.

Doing yardwork wearing a Swiss-made mechanical Tissot? Well well, Mister Fancypants...

I just dug a bunch of holes in the garden a few hours ago and wore my go-to gardening watch, my unbranded (Orkina) beater:

I guess I'll have to scoop out the cat boxes wearing my Cartier to keep up:

😂

My faithful (and cheap) Casio F-91W is my go-to for yard work… and it’ll only cost $11 to replace it if I break it 😂

Well, I do own two pairs of Levi’s (count ‘em two) but they are decidedly fancy. 😔

A Cartier for the cat box?!? No no no, that’s a job for a Lange.
