Looks like it is game over for this chrono. Movement still works so maybe I'll try a bit of fun, but i was kinda shocked when the indices fell off after an admittedly nasty fall
On the bright side, the watch has survived quite a lot until now, and wasn't expensive to begin with. Plus now I have an empty slot in the box that needs filling ๐

Shocked that it broke after a "nasty fall?"
You can superglue them back on
I'm shocked not that it broke, but how. No damage to case/crystal, but the indices popped off, which I wasn't expecting.
Also tbf I don't know what is considered nasty for watches. It was about 1.5 metres, the nasty was the damage lol

Ooh I didn't think of that. This could be a fun project to attempt
Iโm surprised more donโt fall off after a brisk walk based on how they are applied. Wow. How is it keeping time? I hope you are okay from the fall. You can try to repair or toss.

use rodico or Sticky Tach to place them and dont use too much and mostly on the pins.

Yeah I was also kinda disappointed, which is a shame coz for the 30 bucks I paid for it it was a very handsome watch and my first chrono

I donโt even know if $30 covers shipping and handling. Unbelievable price, at least the loss isnโt heavy.
So that's how they put them! A mystery solved.

Yeah it was barely more expensive than the cost of the movement
I had a similar issue with a cheaper end watch. It became my test dummy into watch repair. If you screw it up, no big loss. There are lots of videos on YouTube. With a simple repair kit you can remove the hands and dial. Put a drop of epoxy on the back side of the dial for each index marker pin. My watch still works today. Biggest caution is be careful removing the crown stem.
It's easily fixable. Mine arrived broken and I just opened it up and pushed them back on.
