🚨Decade at Job = Lorier Neptune Purchase 🚨
For about a year I’ve been thinking about a watch to buy to commemorate ten years at my current job. My watch budget is not big, by any means, so the “grail” watch wasn’t going to happen.
While lots of Seikos and such caught my eye, I already have a couple Seikos and wanted something more unique to me.
Long story short, I became enamored by Lorier. I love the story behind the brand and how Lorenzo and Lauren built their little company out of a passion for watches and good design. And I’m happy to support a small business over a big corporate giant when I can.
I love the watches that inspired the Neptune and for me, the Neptune brings so many cool bits to my wrist without an astronomical price tag. Its size is perfect for my smallish wrist, the bezel lines up, case shape is spot on, the Hesalite is charming and reminds me of a big drop of water on a flat surface, and I love the big crown. It is gorgeous in every way.
Tightwad who dreams of a two line 14060 Sub and scratches the collecting itch with cheap quartz and a couple of Seikos.

I set the timing bezel at the beginning of play time to make sure he's getting the exercise he needs— which is a great usecase for the timing bezel! It also really sets the emotional hooks that bond me to the watch and making memories.
It will be exciting to see how your bond with your Neptune in the coming months/years!
Congrats, it's a beauty. Similar story to me, I just picked up a Hyperion to commemorate a big anniversary; 20 years living in the US. The GMT was a reminder of my home time zone and my new home time zone.
That all said, I seriously considered a Neptune as it's just a beautiful watch. Maybe next time!
