This is the 1978 model of the Texas Instruments Model 550 LCD watch. The one on the left has a working movement and caseback. But the case has a small crack on the side. The one on the right has a working movement (sans battery) and no caseback.
I already had the 1979 version (pictured below) with a non-working movement; so I will probably take the caseback from it. That will give me two working versions of my childhood Christmas watch (Or maybe it was my birthday? Can't remember) ... But at any rate, I now have my (minor) grail watch, the exact, first watch that I ever owned as a 10-year old boy. Words cannot express my supreme delight in finding it! ๐
Now the question is... do I keep the original straps? (which would ensure that I never wear them; the strap ends won't meet because my wrist is too big) ... Or do I put all of them on a dark brown NATO strap? ๐
Decisions, decisions... ๐ Cheers! โจ๐ท

Bro youโve got to wear them. You just have to. Get it on a nato and save everything else. Itโs your Grail. What good is it in a box. Put in on your wrist! Congratulations
Congrats on achieving that rare find well done ๐๐ป

This. Fix them and wear them proudly, @TwiceTollingClock . Don't forget to post pictures here!
Congratulations. Or as Napoleon Dynamite would say, "Yesssss!!" Get it on a strap and wear it, but as my Dad used to say "Don't beat the Cowboy Hell out of it!"
