I'm ripping into my music server the complete Revolver recording sessions right now - some truly amazing stuff and one of my favorite albums from The Beatles - it's either Revolver or Abbey Road.
I don't think I could answer my own question, because there are so many great watches and so many great bands and albums.
But if I had to narrow it down on music (from a rock/pop perspective only - too many great classical composers and too many great jazz recordings)...
Great question worthy of some thought and we like some of the same music. Who doesn't love Abbey Road and ELO? As for top 10 watches, I'm too fickle and too new too watch collecting. Some future watches I'd love to own are Oris, Longines, Sinn, Maen, maybe a Tudor. For now, loving Seiko.
Same here, different timezone. I dont like looking at my gear strangely, but its spinning on a vintage TD160 and honking through a pair of NS10. and I cant quite focus on my GS if i get it in to frame.
to add to the thread, my favourite albums are;
Abbey Road - The Beatles
For You - Tatsuro Yamashita
Stone flower - Jobim
Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino - Arctic Monkeys
London Calling - The Clash
Africa Brasil - Jorge Ben
Up the Bracket - The Libertines
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis
Graceland - Paul Simon
the Stone Roses - Stone Roses
i pretty much hover in and between Japanese, Brazilian, British music.

Blue Oyster Cult "Secret Treaties"
Uriah Heep "Demons and Wizards"
UFO "Lights Out"

I had a lifetime of vinyl and equipment destroyed by a hurricane years back. Technology had moved on and I never replaced it. (I had a 500 CD revolving tray player, remember those?) Men of a certain age can argue music with a ferocity that is never brought to watch discussions. (That is obviously sexist, but I have only met men with this affliction.) In no particular order these are the rock albums that are in today's top ten:
King Crimson: Lark's Tongue in Aspic
Roxy Music: Roxy Music
Big Star: Radio City
The Jayhawks: Tomorrow the Green Grass
Gentle Giant: Octopus
Strawbs: Bursting at the Seam
Elvis Costello: King of America
The Clash: London Calling
The Beatles: The Beatles
tie: The Kinks: Village Green Preservation Society/The Rolling Stones: Sticky Fingers
My top watches change much more frequently. Any list must include an Omega Seamaster, an Eterna Eternamatic, and a Mido Multifort.
I could probably come up with jazz and classical lists but you probably stopped reading at Gentle Giant.

Made of Stone is worth a repeat play every time. It is the perfect power pop tune of its time. Those guitar effects...

That album on repeat while being opiated or stoned was just next level too. Soundtrack of my mid-20s
Part of the soundtrack of my 30's along with the first Fountains of Wayne album and a lot of Elliott Smith. For altered states of perception I always recommend King Crimson's "Lizard" and for shits and giggles, Ween's "Quebec".

ive never heard of Ween, but there is no missing King Crimson, that band rips black holes.

Sorry to hear about the hurricane loss. I keep all my music now on a 50TB server that I can access from anywhere (yes - I know there is Spotify and I have that as well).
I can tell that we share a really similar list of favorite bands/albums.
I love The Strawbs - such a fantastic band. The Jayhawks are amazing - those harmonies. Big Star Radio City is one of the best albums ever made. Roxy Music is incredible and the first album was groundbreaking. Who doesn't like The Beatles, The Kinks and The Rolling Stones.
But I will stop here on the music since this is a watch list.

That first FOW album is amazing - Sink To The Bottom is such a brilliant song. They also did a fantastic job on the soundtrack as The Wonders for That Thing You Do.

I can bring it back around to watches. FOW's songwriting was never better than on "Welcome Interstate Managers". From "Hackensack", "I saw you talkin' to Christopher Walken on my TV screen."
Have worn watches all my life and just started collecting in 2022. On the hunt for my 1st Swiss watch or a cool microbrand in 2023. Avid road and gravel cyclist plus 2 channel hifi and record enthusia...

good God. This is like Tom Waits meets Pond with an orchestra led by Joshua Homme 🎇

The album is a masterpiece.
Edit: Dean Ween tells a great story about "borrowing" Carlos Santana's guitar for the solo on Transdermal Celebration.

Pearl Jam Vs/Ten
Nirvana Nevermind
Greenday Dookie
Weezer Weezer
Audioslave debut album
to name a few…

Awesome intro and song - my favorite on the album together with Planet Queen.
