Brilliant pick!! And a spring drive...🔥

Thank you! It's amazing but it has it's flaws. GS sticker right on the open caseback where it blocks the view of it, no micro adjustments, there's a gap between the clasp and bracelet so it's not a smooth transition and the winding feel and sound of the spring drive is grainy but the dial, spring drive accuracy and finishing easily make up for it. The smooth second hand is mesmerizing.

GS focuses on her strength by developing the best craftsmanship and quality dials. Using state-of-the art technology in a typical Japanese craftsmanship spirit called'monotsukuri' or 'making of things', they have excelled in traditional watchmaking, yet extremely innovative in modern watchmaking standards, which is leading haute horlogerie by storm!

I believe it's only a matter of time before GS will adopt new modern micro adjustment in their bracelet.

Many watch fans (GS fans in particular) I myself included. Although the half-links already do a good enough job to let you find your perfect fit.

As for the power-reserve indicator, you can find those models in most of the SBGY lineup such as SBGY007, 011, 013 etc. that 'hide' the power-reserve from the exhibition caseback.

Below is an interesting video (sorry, it's all in Japanese), you can switch your YT auto-subtitles to learn more about why GS does their watches so perfectly.

Enjoy, and wear your spring-drive GS in good health.😊

Do you work for Grand Seiko? I have a 6.75" wrist and with the half endlinks I'm either a little to tight or a little to loose, I chose the latter. Can't wait for the day they have quick adjust clasp. I love GS but if Monta can give you a quick adjust at $3,300 CAD 🤷🏽‍♂️ also i love the pwr indicator on the front let's me know when it needs a wind. Thanks cheers!

Hahaha that's a compliment...I wish I'm affiliated wish GS.🤣 I'm just watch fan.

Well, if you bring your watch with endlinks to a GS boutique, they might give you a better advice on how to size it.

No comment on Monta. Buy and wear what you like best!Enjoy bud'😀
