I am a huge fan of the Watches in the Wild posts. One of my favourite reads on this site. I am always amazed at the ability to identify watches in the wild so I decided to try it on this holiday. What follows is a very cheap imitation / homage.
The Apple watch
The undisputed king of watches on holiday. If your life ever depends on guessing what watch someone is wearing go with the Apple watch.
A fair few people were double wristing with the Apple on one hand and a mechanical watch on the other.
Cartier Ballon Blue
A beautiful watch worn by a distinguished older Spanish guy. Rocking it.
Two tone date just
Saw a few guys wearing this. Looks great on holiday but I don't think I could ever pull one of...Ever.
Hublot chronograph
There are Hublot haters but I have to confess this watch looked great. Has a great visual look that is distinctive and has great holiday vibes.
Speedmaster
A great looking speedy on what looked like a NATO.
Seiko chronograph
Took a while to ID this one (and I might still have it wrong) and a couple of trips to the breakfast buffet to figure out what this was.

It is hard isn't it? If I see ten watches in a week I feel comfortable usually with only one ID.

I have infinite respect for @Edge168n gift for watch identification at a distance. It's much harder than it looks. Spending a lot of time on #watchcrunch makes things easier 😁

He wears a loupe at all times.
Not a cheap homage at all. It only misses the hashtag to make it official 😉

Amazing spots! I love the variety and also the advanced technique of making multiple trips to the buffet to figure out what the heck the dude was wearing on his wrist

It's a fine line between stalking a watch and getting your third banana smoothie.
I also was recently on vacation and saw lots of expensive looking watches but couldn’t identify any! This crowd was too rich to wear Rolex, which would have been easy to identify. I think I saw a Richard Mille.
I usually fail. It wasn’t awkward for me to take a photo…didn’t care about the scenery, I only snapped a shot so I could later ID his watch, which turned out to be an IWC big pilot. Looks much better in person than online.
Nice attempt! It's tough as you said to identify the watches, but appreciate the effort. I like finding different watches and I can live vicariously through these posts.
I'm too lazy to post, so whenever his potss come up, I just reply with the ewatches that I spotted!

That's a great looking watch and a hard spot. Rolex, the Speedy and Cartier were the easiest for me. It's all downhill from there

And who says we can't multitask?
I've been absolutely slammed over the past week, so I'm really glad you posted one of these.
Should be back on track next week.

The International Oil Show was in town this week. A saw countless date justs, nd subs, one bluesy.
They were all far outnumbered by the Apple Watch…
