New Strap Addition - Rolex Explorer gets a new life
The Explorer is becoming probably my most worn watch. It's the watch I wear when I don't know what to wear. It's the watch that goes from the office to the weekend. It's the watch that goes with everything. And when I get bored I change the strap.
Unfortunately, we can never be happy with our watches. With my Explorer it is the curved straps I need to fit to the watch otherwise the case eats into any strap with the ferocity of Cerberus. Many a regular strap has been ravaged by the Explorer.
Imagine my delight when my straight lug canvas strap from Handdn fits the Explorer. No gouging, crimping or tearing.
It's simple, clean and wears like a dream. And now I feel like this...

It's actually hard to find a strap the Explorer doesn't look great on. Although the sharp case finishing is problematic. It's funny how some straps fit perfectly and some get chewed up before you've even put them on.

Agreed. Haven't found a strap that doesn't like the Explorer. Unfortunately, not the other way around.
I am going to try a few more Handdn straps to see if this was a one off.
