NSA ๐Ÿšจ (New strap alert)

Image

Love it on the leather but the UK heatwave has limited how much I could wear my latest acquisition.

It feels like a new watch!

This rubber strap comes with the EASX-CHANGE system for easy swapping out. But it's so comfortable and robust than I was expecting, so might not come off for a while.

People say rubber cheapens a watch but with the quality of this one it really doesn't feel like that.

Highly recommend.

Beautiful watch. I get it. The blue on the IWC is outstanding. I have a blue Omega SMP on a bracelet and when I want to chang it up I go to a blue rubber straps. Itโ€™s like a new watch.

Donโ€™t worry about the nasayers. Rock how you like it.

IWC finally wakes up and implements its own version of quick change system (EASX-Change) for bracelets and straps. I tried it on my Mark XX, it is okay, they even have it working for the Tang buckle w/o tools.

However, there are reports of the EASX-Change system failures and the watch came loose from the spring bars. Also it keeps the spring bars so to use none EASX-Change straps you need to remove them first โ€ฆ

Now my Mark XX uses the simple quick change mesh straps and other quick change straps from Hirsch, Artem, and others. Even Patek uses the simple quick change mechanism. I guess PP knows when to over engineer and when to keep it simple ? Still Omega decided to be lazy and does nothing :)

That looks great.

I've had no problems whatsoever swapping between the two leather straps I have with the EASXchange. But will report back if I do. Two months in, so far so good. It's very easy to use.

I'm also a big fan of the system. No problems at all in over a year and a half of swapping straps on my BP43 (except spending an hour trying to find the buckle pin when dropped on the floor once, but that was entirely my fault). The rubber straps are excellent, the blue looks great!

That's my nightmare. Thinking I might just buy another clasp so I don't have to swap that bit over. Even easier!

What colour you got??

I have the black dial BP43, I bought it with the brown leather standard strap and a brown rubber at the same time. Added a green leather and the bracelet and recently the orange rubber. That's it now!!!! (I hope). I never usually switch straps around on watches, other than the NATOs on my Unimatic, I think IWC have created quite a cash-cow for themselves! I did read a suggestion in another post (not sure if it was here), that they should have a "strap-wall" in boutiques - that would be dangerous...

They should. And you have all the options with the black, goes with everything! I do also like the green on green though. They've also furtively released a dark green textile style one with rubber on the inside. Very nice.

Sounds a bit like the strap on the Woodland Chronograph - that's a fantastic watch.

Yeah that's what it looked like in the catalogue. I've tried that on before, it's very cool.

I wouldnโ€™t have thought to put that on a rubber strap, but it looks good. Such a striking watch ๐Ÿ˜

Neither would I if they hadn't made a rubber strap that looks like a pilot style strap. Still best on the leather but a great option for hotter days.

Hi , how does that strap wear?

Do you wear for a long time?

I wanna get one do you still recommend it?

Thanks

It's good. With my leather straps I've had to stretch the hold a bit to get a better fit. Which I couldn't do with this one but it gives a little more with it being rubber. Gives the watch another dimension. However, I still prefer it on leather. Both good options though.

So grabbed the leather as the rubber strap was on BO and I still interested in one and wanted some feedback from someone if itโ€™s worth getting.

Great BP watch by the way!! ๐Ÿค

Thanks
