Casio G-Shock MRG-B5000?

I was wondering if anyone here has a MRG-B5000?

I have been watching numerous reviews on YouTube and many pictures of it on IG... I like especially the black version (MRG-B5000B-1)

For several years I thought a Grand Seiko should be added to my collection before I turn 40. Set aside a small amount each month to justify spending that much on a watch after several years. After finally seeing a few GS at the Seiko Boutique I wasn't sure anymore... they are a bit boring to me... especially the bracelets.

Then a few weeks ago by accident I walked into a Breitling store and saw the new Chronomat40. Absolutely stunning and I fell in love with it. But the sudden price increase of last month with 10% really pissed me off. At €6000 I am not sure I want to pay such a price for design and brandname/heritage considering the movement of the watch, which is an office GMT and defintely not in-house.

I already have a DW5600 in green and blue and absolutely love them! The idea of this watch in the most rediculously engineered, finished and priced version is somehow very appealing.

So... long story short: can anyone share experiences with this watch? Or pictures of this watch shot not in a studio setting but displaying the watch in real life?

I'm surprised they haven't done this watch but in a 40th anniversary edition! Totally in agreement with you that having the most complex square is appealing.

Nice! How do you like it? Is the bracelet as comfortable as many reviewers say it is?

Yeah bracelet is a clear step up in quality, it’s comfortable. The clasp is very crisply executed.

Overall I’m loving the watch. It’s really great, top level.

The dial…the thin red line (as it’s called)…beautiful.

Thanks! I bought a B5000B just last week 😁

I will post some more pictures later but here it is

Very nice bro…… How you finding the watch?

I’m completely in love with mine, it’s the ultimate watch.

So I am currently saving for a metal square. I thought I would start with SS version and then move to the TVA class titanium, but now I'm not sure that I just should not keep saving and eventually buy the MRG. It couldn't hurt to have more than one metal square, right?

Definitely keep saving for the MR-G! I am curious what the value of these watches wil do for worn pre-owned ones on Chrono24 and other trading platforms.

I wear mine almost every day and I am surprised how good it is in all situations. It looks good with dress shirts and I have even worn it while wearing a suit. Who thought a G-Shock could pull that off 😅

I will try and write a review after my first 3 months of owning this watch but I have already concluded that this could very well be a one-watch-collection piece 😀

I’m a fan. I have the Steel square, and it is quite nice, but want to move to the MR-G at some point.
