NWA My new Chronograph

I was in the hunt for a chronograph since always. I had one when I was kid and I loved it, but it was a kid's watch and it eventually broke down. So I saved some cash and I was ready to make a purchase. I really wanted a Certina Prcidrive with 1/100 second hand, but there were old models and were hard to find . So I was considering the amazing Bulova Moon Pilot. I found a great deal, but I blinked, and it was gone! Big disappointment. But as the good Larry David says, it was a blessing in disguise. I realised that in my small collection, most of the watches I have are with black dial and white numbers/indices, and the Moon Pilot would have been yet another one (the white/blue one was out of my budget).

So then, out of the blue, I found this Certina. It is a newer version of the Precidrive that I liked so much! It is brand new and it was advertised with a great deal! It was like it was calling to me. This time I didn't blink and here it is!

The watch has amazing specs. The movement is an ETA 251.264 quartz with 27 jewels! It features traditional Hour/minute/small running seconds, sub-dials for minutes and hours for the chronograph, the chronograph central seconds and the trick under the sleeve, a stacked extra central hand that moves to a 1/100 of a second. Really cool to see.

It also has split seconds to track two events, and you can jump the hour hand to change time zone.

The looks of it I find it super sporty, like a rally racing car Timing Machine (Certina has not only a tradition in diving , but also in racing), that suits perfectly my hobby of a desk racer. The tachymeter scale in the outer bezel, the inner ring with the counter for the 1/100 of a second. The panda dial and the red accents. And of course the turtle at the back case. I love all of it.
