Watch selection first , then outfit for the day?

Anyone else select thier watch first in the morning and build the outfit after that ?

Something I never used to do , but as my collection has grown the watch I feel like wearing dictates my entire morning routine.

I generally look at my task list for the day and build my attire and watch around that need.

If I need to take public transit avoid any watch too shiny, shopping for groceries a watch with a fabric strap, doing anything with my wife needy to avoid wearing a Cartier( she hates being twins anything). Meeting watch friends, some watch interesting.

A bit of both but most of my watches are pretty neutral and go with everything but I do sometimes pick a watch then match a outfit to it like this Sunday gone I wore my rotary

With its light brown rally strap matched it with my pale blue linen shirt long sleeve rolled up with my khaki linen trousers brown leather belt matching the same colour as my brogue boots and strap

Never have, never will.

I just did it 30 minutes ago. Clothes first, then watch.

·

I’ve done it both ways (oo-er, missus)

·

Sometimes I go all out and coordinate everything, even socks.

Other times, I just throw on whatever.

Ya man sometimes! Or on the other foot I match the watch to the outfit. Either way there is a watch involved so I’m happy. If I decided I’m going streaking I still would this hmmm which Watch should I take? Ohh I know!

Sneaker head here. I’ll often choose my sneakers first, then an outfit to go with the sneakers. If my shoes have orange, like my Air Max 95 OG Neutral Olive & Total Orange, I’ll rock the Orange Monster. Otherwise, the rest of my watches have neutral dials so I’ll choose whichever suits my mood for the day.
