Friday the 13th (teaser)

Third Watch officially became a company on Friday, January 13th 2023. The logo is a Chi Rho on a shield. A symbol going back to Constantine. Pretty good story and worth the read.

Third Watch is the midnight period, historically a pretty dangerous time. That idea came from how many watches I’ve repaired because the date had either jumped off track or stripped.

Anyway, I wanted to design a watch to commemorate my 1 year mark. I wanted it to be something that tied into my admiration of history, represented my values. If anyone is familiar with why Friday the 13th is bad luck, you know the Knights Templar story.

So… here’s my design. Well, 1 of them.

There’s a few variations in the works but the original red is my favorite. Calling it the Templar.

38mm diameter and 44mm lug to lug. All brushed. Hidden 20mm lugs. Recessed crown. Sapphire. Powered by the Seiko VH31 quartz.

Jacques de Molay would love it 💪🏼

Yeah I’m aware that the symbolism is divisive. I like it it though, I think it represents what I stand for as far as honesty and integrity.

I love conspiracy theories. And I wasn’t going to show all three variants but screw it.

A. The original Templar Red Cross.

B. Silver on Gray, production will actually be similar in colors like a ghost cross. Calling it Spirit of Templar. A nod to the conspiracies that they still exist.

C. Is the Jacques @Inkitatus . In any historical books they always depict him with a black cross. I’m not positive is the Grand Masters all wore a black cross, just him, or it’s just an embellishment.

Very cool 😎👍

There’s prototypes in the works. Once that’s all kosher I might do kickstarter or just straight preorder I’m not sure yet.

The watch design itself is pretty good and straightforward. The overt Judeo-Christian symbolism might be an issue with some folks though, but I'm sure you were already aware of that. Have at it my dude.🙏

I would be in production already if I’d change the case. Apparently it’s a difficult process. My goal has been to fly a Christian flag so to speak, but also have historical significance. You don’t have to be Christian to appreciate ancient Roman folklore or find the Knights Templar fascinating.

Mission accomplished then. I love me some Dan Brown Da Vinci Code...the book was definitely better than the movie.
