Yep, I totally get that approach - and super valid outlook! But for the folks that are keen on a specific watch, and it's sort of their end all be all piece, what are the options? It's just a lot of fun to explore and to discuss the variables, the logic, the reasoning behind the "why" and the "how." But I agree, it's an opt in scenario so it's really up to the individual person if they want to sign-up for that or not 👍

Didn’t know you’d made the jump to being a poddy guy. Listened last night, nice job! Listened right through.

One suggestion: in show notes give a link to pertinent watches so a quick glance at them is easier to do? Not at all critical, just a suggestion

Re Rolex dealer call - I take exception to ‘big event’ being a reason you get a watch. It penalizes guys like me who are later in life!. Leaves me with a retirement or death watch! Engagement/Marry/kid/job/.. all can’t use. Do I need to practice lying? 🤔🤫

My $0.02: be cut throat and go to best / loyal customer seems most fair (assuming we aren’t committed to doing chronological).

In my city it means I’d never EVER be called. 1/2 mill cars are a dime a dozen in YVR with all our overseas -$$$. My AD informed me I’m not acceptable for men’s wait list, after admitting I wasn’t interested in women’s precious metal models.

Yes, I now I hate the brand, but I think this is better than stringing me along in perpetuity.

Good grief! I'm sorry, your statement stuck in my head SO hard "retirement or death watch!" 😭 I'd never want that for you! There's too much fun and joy to be extracted from the hobby to have that outlook! But I do understand the sentiment, thank you for sharing 🤝

Thanks for the suggestions! Definitely a good idea to add a link to the watches discussed! The crux of podcasts is that when trying to describe something, unless you know the general object being presented (or have a powerful imagination) it's hard to visualize. Great feedback 👍
