-15 seconds/day is outside of spec, right? From memory I was thinking it's -10 to +15. Mine is running around +6 seconds/day when dial-up or on wrist, and +2-3 when crown-up or crown-down, which is how I keep it overnight.
I posted a review of my newly-acquired SJE093 the other day. I really like that it's [mostly] true to the original design, and that means that it's for the most part free from influence from other dive watches, at least in as much as the original was.
I first bought a DW-5600 and loved it so I decided I should get the GM-5000 figuring that it would be even better. Nope. The DW-5600 is where it’s at. Lightweight, great module, looks perfect. I even like the stock strap.
I do when looking at pictures and noticing which watch I was wearing at the time. It’s usually my Explorer, and I like that continuity. Holding a newborn relative. Posing with my wife on vacation. Sitting on a tailgate with my friends before a concert. There are pictures that stand out to me and it makes me smile to see the watch in my wrist.
Is Formex a microbrand or more of an independent? Where is the line drawn? I don’t know much about their history but I’ve always thought of them more as the latter.
Care to recommend a couple of those older references? I picked up my first GS recently - a 9F quartz - and I have grown to appreciate its place in my small collection.
