Technology makes me want to kill myself. Help. Please?

I’m one of those stupid people. The ones that can’t fix things on my own, especially with tech. Not being able to set my fucking watch drives me absolutely insane. It makes me feel even more stupid than I already do. I’ve watched the fucking videos, I’ve read the goddamn manual, and I’m still a worthless sack of shit.

The fucking hands won’t line up on my GA-2110 with the digital time, and every time I think I’ve reset them, they go back to being the completely wrong time, wrong day, wrong month, wrong date, wrong everything to the digital time I thought I just fucken set.

I know I’m stupid, so I’m looking for someone out there who’s willing to put up with my stupidity and have the patience to tell me what the fuck I’m doing wrong so that I can just set my goddamn watch.

edit:

After a chat with the folks at Teddy Baldassare where I got the watch, turns out I might have a defective module. Still feel kinda dumb.

Thank you so much. So when I do this exactly as is in the video, my analog hands don’t match the digital time display, nor does the day sub dial even point on one of the days:

So when I go to reset the alignment as is instructed here:

All the settings I just placed in the first video get lost and I end up in this loop of setting and resetting the time and the hands.

If all things fail…i Usually take the battery out and hopefully that will reset if full … I hope…

I'm saying this for your own good....get-rid-of-it...I can't stant it either.  On the other hand you need one of the new Citizen or Seiko Satellite watches that set themselves and change with DLS time automatically.  I will bring one to the upcoming event so you can try it out.

As a certified moron, I don't feel qualified.

Looks like four simple screws to open the case back. And when I say it's simple to myself in my head... That's a red flag.

Here in lies the problem of being both stubborn and stupid. I know I can't figure out the solution, but I don't want there to be a problem. 😬

I had a bunch of those citizen atomics before and every DLS time change was a pain in the butt.  The newer satellite watches adjust automatically for DLS and also if you change timezones.

I like the thought of that. I just wish my "beater" watch wasn't so finicky.
